Spend a beautiful Fall morning exploring the plants and their niches in the diverse and interesting environs of Doeskin Ranch. The walk will be led by Diane Sherrill, owner of NativeEarthscapes landscaping and property restoration. Identification, wildlife uses, landscaping possibilites, and all manner of fascinating tidbits will be covered for the plants we find. Of course, Diane can't help but bird when she's outside, so bring your binoculars! Dress for the weather, including sturdy, close-toed shoes and hat. Bring water, sunscreen, and a curious attitude. Meet in the Doeskin parking lot at 8 a.m. Registration limited to 15. From Cedar Park, go west on 1431 through Jonestown and Lago Vista.  Pass the Refuge Headquarters. Pass Cow Creek Road. Turn north (right) at 1174 toward Bertram. Drive app 4.5 miles and look for Doeskin Ranch on the right.

From Liberty Hill, take FM 1869 to the T at 1174. Turn left and drive 2.3 miles. Doeskin will be on your left.
