Let's have some Fun!

Here's your chance to see the newest Refuge acquisition, Peaceful Springs. Bring the whole family and have a picnic.

Refuge Manager Kelly Purkey will share the "State of the Refuge at 1:30. Afterwards take a walking tour of this unique slice of the Hill Country, chow down on hot dogs and all the fixin's or watch the kids play games.

Meet your Board of Directors, ask questions and contribute your ideas.

This is a FUN get together for all the Friends members, friends & family.

Please register all attending so we can get an accurate food count.

The Friends of Balcones Canyonlands NWR is a 501(c)(3) organization whose primary purpose is to support the mission of the Refuge in restoring and protecting the habitat. The Friends are committed to building a diverse, vibrant community that appreciates, supports, and connects with nature in a meaningful way.

Join the Friends in protecting the wildlife and habitat, and supporting the mission of the Refuge. Start by taking a hike or  attending an event, by watching the seasons change through what’s blooming, or by just watching a hawk soar, or even just sitting still and listening to the songbirds sing.
