Friends Workshop- #NPLD 2017 Trail Work

Registration is closed

The rains this year have produced abundant foliage. We need to rediscover our trails! Join us on National Public Lands Day for some trail maintenance and some fun.

8 am- Break into groups, assign area and tools

8:30-12:00- Trail work

12-1- Lunch will be provided at the amphitheater by the Friends of Balcones

1- 2:00- Interpretive hike led by retired Balcones biologist Chuck Sexton

Trails need clearing and widening, hard, sweaty work!

Bring water, appropriate trail dress & shoes, hat, gloves, sunscreen, loppers, pruners (if possible). The Refuge will have some tools available.

Registration is limited and is required
