With all that’s going on in our lives these days, sometimes it’s good to just stop, take a moment, and connect with nature. The Art of Mindfulness is defined as a mental state achieved by focusing one's awareness on the present moment.  The sound of a bird, the rustle of leaves, the bubble of a brook, and even the breeze on your face, all contribute to the experience. Time to take a breath and just be.

The benefits of spending time in nature have long been acknowledged. Some call it Vitamin N.  Rejuvenating and reconnecting with the great outdoors can be therapeutic for our health, enlighten our minds, and enrich our lives. We will explore how we can connect with the natural world in a mindful way. The program will include a discussion on the basics of mindfulness and connection, a mindful walk, and a writing exercise. Please bring a medium/large notebook and pen or pencil.

Your guide, Marcy Westcott. is a Certified Master Naturalist and Meditation & Mindfulness Instructor with advanced certification in MMI Mindfulness@Work through the McLean Meditation Institute of Sedona, Arizona and Santa Barbara, California.
