Bring your family closer to nature with a photo scavenger hunt at the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge!

Visit the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge this Spring Break to enjoy a photo scavenger hunt! This self-guided scavenger hunt will be a fun way for you and your family to get to know the wildlife refuge.

Remember - take only photos! Please do not pick plants or take items from the Refuge - they are there for others to enjoy and for the plants and animals of the Refuge :)

Who is this event for?

This event is for any family with children that would like to visit the Refuge! The scavenger hunt is centered around the Creek Trail and the Pond & Prairie Trail, these are both relatively flat trails that would be accessible for children of all ages.

Time

Volunteers will be available at the trailhead Monday, March 13th and Friday, March 17th from 1:00 - 4:00 PM to give you a Scavenger Hunt page, a fun challenge for the end of the scavenger hunt, and a sticker for completion of the scavenger hunt!

We estimate that the scavenger hunt will take 1-2 hours to complete based on how long you'd like to spend on the trails.
